Carnavon 4/9

Had a nice big breakfast, bacon & egg wraps, then did 4 loads of washing, while the kids played in the playground.

Then took the kids to the carnavan space & technology museum.
The Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum celebrates the little known history of the role Carnarvon played in the manned space program and in the the Australian communications industry.

Sandy point 30/8

Spend the day at Sandy point with the Manos Family.

Only 10km from our camps, did fishing, swimming, snokeling, crab catching, eating and played ball games.

Unfortunately didn’t catch any fish

The Warraloo Station has about 50km of beach coastline along its property, and has different campsites scattered along the way. All Campsites have no facility.

Went for a drive around the station and had a look at a couple of different campsites and beaches.

Before we headed back to camp went to the bore pump to get some water so we could have showers tonight.

Exploring Warroora Station 1/09

Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers that read my blog.

Decided to go into Coral bay today and do some snokeling & get some bait so boys can go fishing.

We took the scenic way along the Bush coast track, over lots of sand dunes and ended up at 5 finger reef.

We spend about an hour here snokeling and only pic I took was of the kids chasing all the birds.

Then headed into coral bay where we did more snokeling and then had lunch at the local bakery.

On the way back to camp we stopped along the coastline looking for a good spot to go fishing.

The kids loved to stone garden we found along the way.

Ended up at Turtle rock and true to its name we saw quite a lot of turtles swimming along the current around the rock.

Did a bit of fishing here, sadly didn’t catch anything.

Kids where all happy to have a go at the hand pump to get more water.

The wind started up again in the afternoon, so had to get out the winter woollys.

Adam cooking dinner yummy butter chicken.

Coral bay 29/8

Had bacon & egg wraps in the morning for breaky.

Awesome to watch 2 dolphins swimming in the ocean while having breakfast.

Arts & carft with the cuttlefish.

Headed over to Coral Bay via the bushtrack only took 20mins

Awesome snorkeling right off the beach, beautiful colourful coral & really big fish. Happy that April and William finally had a go and loved it.

Lookout of coral bay.

Stocked up, rang work & got approved to go back to work 1 week later so now coming home on the 28th Sept.

Went back to camp.

Kids happy to have there friends next to us ( that we meet at Yarie creek), the Manos Family which have 4 boys.

Another beautiful sunset to finish the day.

Another day at Yardie homestead 26/8

Woke up & about to pack up and noticed for the first time since broome not a breath of wind, so decided to stay another day😃.

Saw Emus as we started headed out of the homestead.

Went out to Lakeside Bay in cape range NP & did a couple of hours of snorkeling, again just Adam, Jasmine & I.

Saw lots of hugh stingrays laying on the bottom of the ocean.

Did try to get William & April to have a go but didn’t last long.

Then went into town (Exmouth) to restock and fuel up and pumped up tyres ready for tomorrow.

Kids got pic with the big prawn & whale shark.

Started to head back to camp but we turned off onto another 4wd track toward the beach.

Got a little bit bogged as tyres where at 55psi.

Adam let them down, and took off to the end of the sand, leaving me & the kids behind, he couldn’t stop or he would get bogged again.

Once back in the car, we took another 4wd track this time on the other side into The range.

We found an awesome Cave on the side of the gorge.

View from the gorge of the track we came on and the beach.

Went back to camp

Kids play footy & other games with the kids next to us (they have 4 boys)

Had dinner, chicken Parma, sausage & veges.

And then kids went to next doors campsite and join them watching the trolls movie

Yardie Creek Gorge 25/8

Kids had pancakes for breakfast with loads of whipped cream & strawberries, they shared it with there friends staying next door.

Headed down to the other end of Cape Range National parks, to Yardie Creek Gorge.

We did a 2km walk along the gorge which on high tide it joins up to the sea, it had awesome red cliffs and we saw lots of rock wallabies, small reef shark & string Rays.

Then we went to Pilonoman Gorge, which wasn’t on any of our maps 4wd only track in. We just saw a dirt track off the main road leading to a gap in the cliff & thought we would check it out.

It was full of rock wallabies. Look closely in the second pic & u can see them.

Then we headed out to oyster stacks, only can snorkel there at high tide ( which at the time was another 3hrs away) so the kids went looking for crabs and we saw another reef shark swim by.

So headed back to Turquoise Bay for one last drift snokel as super windy & water choppy only Adam and I went in.

Awesome snorkeling and Adam was super stoked to see & swim with a turtle 🐢

Turquoise Bay 24/8

Started the day with Bacon, eggs and hashbrowns cooked by the best husband in the world 😍😍 Then headed off to the vlamingh Head lighthouse built in 1912.

Awesome view from the lighthouse, watched countless whales breaching the water.

Anchor for the SS Mildura cattle ship that was ship wreaked in
1907 at the top of the peninsula.

So drove to the top of the peninsula and found the ship wreak.

Then drove to the turtle information bay, had awesome information about turtles life cycle & easy for the kids to understand. Sadly didn’t see any real turtles.

Drove into Cape Range NP, and went to mangrove bay, which had a bird hide, didn’t really see many birds
But the kids loved the idea.

Took sneaky photo of kids while on a walk

Sometimes they do get along🤗🤗

Then went to the Milyering discovery centre, which has a awesome display of animals & shells from around the area.

Then we spend the rest of the day at Turquoise Bay, snokelling. where u start from one end of the bay and drift along the current to the other end, seeing hundreds of different fish, coral & a couple of stingrays.

Sorry no photo as on my waterproof camera, will show u when I get home.

Sadly William & April couldn’t snokel so left them on the beach to fend for themselves 😂😂

Yardie Homestead 23/8

Left Dampier nice and early at 7:30, drove 573km and arrived at Yardie Homestead at 2pm

Pic of our view for the 500km

Yardie Homestead is 35km out of exmouth.

staying here as we couldn’t get any accommodation in exmouth or along cape range NP.

As setting up we saw a Lace Monator walking through next door campsite ( we will be definitely making sure the tent is always zipped up)

Sorry no photo as taken on Adam phone & he has no reception to send to me.

Adam and the kids went over to the pool for a swim & cool down.

Had chicken schnitzel burgers for dinner, while cooking them at the camp kitchen Kids saw some kangaroo, they went out for a closer look & then 3 emu started walking pass, one stopped at the water trouth, knelt down and put its beak in & out of the water to have a drink.

Finally add pic from Adam phone.

Hearson Cove 22/08

Decided to stay one more night here and do a day trip up Burrup Peninsula.

Went to the car to pay for another night, and my handbags wasn’t in the car, checked everything in the camper trailer couldn’t find it. Realised that I must of left in under the table at the Meraid Tarven last night 🤔😲😭.

Called the Tarven spoke to reception area for the Hotel, she checked the outdoor area where we were sitting but no luck she advise she will speak to staff that where on last night but not until after 1pm.😢

Also went to cop station to report lost handbag, filled in paperwork but no cops available until after 12pm.

Remembrance statue of red dog, kids can’t believe that Dad hasn’t seen the movie.

Drove out to Burrup Peninsula, and firstly went to Deep gorge, started the walk but no real signs with any information about the walk or what direction to go into, so walked up dry river bed for a couple of 100m, did see some aboriginal rock art.

Then headed out to Hearson Cove.

We arrived at low tide and could walk out for miles.

The tide changed and pretty quickly come up.

So adam & the kids had a swim & played with the footy.

Had bbq sasuages for lunch, bbq took a while to cook due to the wind.

While waiting for lunch received a call from the police to say that my handbag has been found.😀😁😀

👜 waitress found my bag under the table early this morning while cleaning up.

Drove along beach at Hearson Cove.
