First time we got the sunrise over the water. Thanks April

Adam cooked the kids pancakes this morning and the kids tried to feed the birds strawberries, they where not intrested at all.

We went for a walk along the beach to the small headland & island, went for a snorkel around it & again tried our luck with fishing sadly didn’t catch anything.

Though I will give fishing ago and show Adam how it done sadly first cast & go the hook snaged.

Went back to camp & relaxed for the rest of the afternoon while the kids played in the sand & water.

Had sausage & mashed potatoes for dinner thanks again Jasmine

Packed up this morning and left at 9:15am, went into Denham stocked up , fuel up, brought drinking water to fill up the water tank at $1 for 20L,

Then headed out of town firstly stopping at Shell beach, where the beach is covered with shells for a 60 km stretch to a depth of 7–10 m. It is one of only two beaches in the world made entirely from shells.

Then headed off to Shelter Bay campground in Edel Land NP, only 144km drive, 100km was on dirt road & the last 20km was really sandy and boggy only just making it though putting our tyres down to 14psi & had all our lockers on 😯.

Finally made it at 2:40pm (144km in 2hrs and 40mins)

Setup, then William did some fishing and Adam and I went for a swim.

Had hamburgers for dinner and watched the sunset.

Then kids snuggled up with dad😍

Went for a drive to the tip of the cape, first stopping in at skipjack point lookout.

Saw dophin swimming out in the distance and lots of skipjack fish swimming around the rocks.

Then went to the tip of cape peron.

Loved the red cliffs against the white beach sand.

Then walked around to the next beach. Stayed here for morningtea, went for a swim and watched dophin swim right up to shore & also watched them trying to catch fish, awesome sight

Then climbed out of the bay.

Went into a couple of beached on the way back and stopped at gregory’s beach for lunch.

William drove us out of the carpark.

Then we stopped at krasker’s Tank.

Which was a watertank built back in the 1800’s.

We then drove to Peron Homestead, which had an awesome display of the animals that live in the NP both native & Feral.

Then relaxed in the Hot Tub, 40 degree water from the artesian bore

Checked out the old shearing shed & cook house.

Then enjoyed dinner while watching the sunset.

Dinner – Bacon carbonara

Had a lazy day today, slept in to about 8am, then we had bacon and egg wrap for breakfast.

Adam and the Kids did some fishing and sadly didn’t catch anything.

While they where fishing Jasmine and I went snorkeling didn’t see much only a eel and a few fish.

Went to drive around to the next bay of the lagoon but sadly the gate was locked ☹ so went back to camp, played cards, rested and the kids played in the dirt.

Also saw a baby monitor & adam nearly stepped on a snake.

Had spaghetti bolognese for dinner while watching the sunset.

Left Monkey Mai at 9:30, only had a 50km drive to Big Lagoon, had a couple of things we need to get done in denham first so didn’t arrive until 11am, nearly running over an emu on the way😮

Setup, and then went for a swim & snorkel in the Lagoon

Went for a walk to the lookout, over looking the lagoon & entrance to the ocean.

Then relaxed for the rest of the afternoon, kids helping dad get some shade.

Dinner- t-bone steak & sausage + mashed potatoes

Went to the dophin feeding again this morning with Jasmine & April, was pretty good watching on of the dophin catching it’s own fish (pink snapper)

Will add photo later as took on Adam phone.

Then we headed over to Denham which is over the other side of the peninsula only 30km drive & the only main town in shark bay.

Stopped into little lagoon on our way

Went for a drive around it but could only go half way around. Awesome place to spend the day.

Then went along Stella Rowley rd into Denham & checked out the bays along the way.

Went into the visitor information centre & we watched a 3D documentary about the HMS Sydney ll, which was really well made & sad to learn that all the men on the ship didn’t survive.

Then the kids found the playground and didn’t want to leave.

Then we went for a walk along the main street & the Jetty’s

Then we locked them up in an old shark cage.

Somehow they all got out.

Some of the original buildings where the bricks are made out of shells.

Went for a detour on the way back, and ended up at red cliffs the bay across from Monkey Mai.

Got up nice and early this morning to watch the dophin feeding which starts at 7:45am. There where lots of people there & April was one of the lucky ones to be picked to feed one of the dophins.🙂🐬

Had a rest day today and stayed at the caravan park, the girls had a quick swim in the pool as the water was freezing cold & played in the playground.

Went for a short walk along the beach and Jetty.

And saw more dophins 🙂🐬

And a starfish

Had dinner at the monkey bar and then watched the sunset.

William found some coconuts and had to try and crack them open.

Another slow pack up this morning, & thanks to the Manos for helping us pack up, kids didn’t want to leave this morning playing in the playground with the Manos boys.

Finally left the caravan park at 10am, fuels up, picked up the trailer wheel carrier & stopped into some farm fruit shops to get fresh produce before we left.

My new favorite dessert, frozen mangoes coated in chocolate yum, yum,yum

Left Carnavon at 11am, drove 220km & stopped for lunch at the Hamelin Pools, looked at the stromatolites.

Then drove the final 130km to Monkey Mia, arrived here at 3pm.

Setup, Jasmine timed us & took us about 48mins.

I started to cook dinner ( satay chicken) while the kids played at the playground, Adam went for a quick swim in the pool & they all went for a walk along the beach. Jasmine telling me that they saw a dophin, turtle & pelicans.

Adam took over the cooking and all the kids wanted to help.

After dinner I went down to the beach with Jasmine & William just on sunset.

And had 2 dolphin swim along the beach with us, while we walked up to the Jetty. 🙂

Didn’t really go anywhere today, kids caught up on there school work while Adam did a oil change.

Kids where super happy when the Manos Family turned up about midday and setup next to us 🙂.

Promised the kids a nice lunch for doing all there school work & to make up for the no lunch we had the day we came into carnavon.

So took them out to Chicken treat which is kind of like red rooster and is only in WA.

Then we dropped Adam off at the Hospital to have his checkup, the doctor was happy with his process and gave him the all clear to keep travelling.

Adam totally forgot that he could watch the NRL live on my phone, he was super happy he didn’t have to watch the AFL with the Manos

Bit of a slow pack up not leaving 14 Mile beach until 10am, drove along the 30km dirt track back to the main road and then air up the tyres.

Said our farewells to the Manos Family as they where heading into coral bay for a couple of nights.

Just before we where about to leave Adam notice the weld on the trailer wheel carrier had cracked ☹

We drove the 200km to carnavon arrived there about 1pm went straight to the medal fabricator to get the backwheel carrier fixed. We where able to take it off the trailer and leave it with them to be fixed, headed into wintersun caravan park setup & then to the hospital to have Adam’s back & chest looked at.

( didn’t mention this in my earlier post About day 3 at 14 Mile Adam was mucking around with the kids in the ocean and dived into the water which was murky so couldn’t see the bottom and his head hit the sand, he passed out for a couple of second & he hit his chin into his chest and ever since had a really sore chest & back and very little movement.)

Doctors did xrays and found that he had a hairline fracture on the thoracic vertebrae T5. Doctor happy that it was no where near his spinal cord, also has really bad bruising on this chest & back.

So he is now on endone & panadol for the pain.
